Tanya asked me to give a reference for her bloodline. The line she has
is
one of the finest if not the finest in Florida. I have one of her dogs
out
of Dragon and Dixie. His name is Doc and he is wonderful. I have owned
my share of Pits but he is the most unique dog I have ever owned. I also
have a female Wilder/Hemphill Pit and a beagle. My dogs are house dogs
for the most part but I have a large yard that they spend time in when
I am home. Tanya's dogs for the most part seem to have a lot of drive.
That can be good and bad depending on your ability to take care of a Pit.
Visit her website if you haven't already. Compare what you see to the others.
I really think you will be satisfied with a pick from her yard.

I have to agree with 100%. I have spoken to Tanya the other day, and
she spent 15minutes out of her busy schedule to explain everything about
the breed, her foundation bloodline, and other bloodlines. No other breeder
came close to providing that level of detail. So, I am looking forward
to one of her plan breedings in April 2004. I really do appreciated
that you
emailed me.

To whom it may concern,
My name is Ed Wacasey and I have a few dogs that
are from Cold Steel Pits. Most, but not all, of what I have is down from
GR CH Boogieman. This is not a sales pitch but just a note from a satisfied
customer. I've owned many different breeds but happily came back to the
bulldogs (American Pit Bull Terrier), as this is the first kind of dog
I owned as a child. My dogs are members of my family and that's just what
you'll get with a dog from Cold Steel Pits. I've got 9 dogs on my yard
and all but 2 are bred down from the Boogieman line I couldn't be happier
with these dogs. The first dog I got from Cold Steel Pits is Caldwell's
Ch. Grease, he's my buddy, he hangs out with me all the time and is 100%
bulldog. He loves my wife and kids and greets each one of us with his tail
wagging. When I got CH Grease, as a puppy, I was looking for a stud to
breed to my foundation bitches, something that would improve the confirmation
and really, that's all I expected. Boy, did I ever get a surprise! The
dog Cold Steel Pits sent me, CH Grease, is everything I expected and more.
I've since received 3 more dogs from Cold Steel Pits, 2 from the Boogieman
line, 1 Jeep/Zebo and I haven't been disappointed in any of them. Now that
people have seen my dogs from Cold Steel Pits they keep asking if they
can get one and my answer is always the same, "Contact Cold Steel Pits
and talk to Tanya, that's where it all started." The temperament of these
dogs is typical of a good bulldog, they love to work and are great with
people. I can't sing enough praises for Tanya & Rich and their line
of dogs. They are great people at Cold Steel Pits and their dogs are Top
Of The Line BULLDOGS!! I'll always, proudly, have the Boogieman line represented
on my yard and I was never a fan of the Jeep line until I got the one I
have from Tanya, he changed my mind. The dogs from Cold Steel Pits are
definitely high quality bulldogs from some of the highest quality bulldog
people.
Sincerely,
Ed Wacasey

Cold Steel Pits,
I just wanted to take a few seconds and commend you on the job you are
doing. Not only is your web site one of the best Ive seen but the
work you are doing with the dogs is awesome! I was lucky enough to
be able to bred to a great Jeep/Honeybunch/Chinaman dog. Combined
with my Redboy female this has been the best litter I have produced in
the few short years Ive been breeding. I kept two males one chocolate
and one black out of the litter and am greatly satisfied with the lines.
I can see a lot of my pups in the ones you produce. I can only hope
to one day accomplish the things that you have after I retire from the
Marine Corps. Im sure you get this quite often but with all of the
good blood and great looking dogs on your yard I just had to drop you a
line. Keep up the good work and good luck in the future with the
dogs.

When asked how a new addition was doing?...
Oh, and I want to say that I’m impressed. I’ve seen a lot of
pups and she exceeded what I expected. I knew that you produced pups
that had the advantage on the medical end (you know what I mean, the dam
got proper nutrition prior to the breeding, throughout her pregnancy, and
the pups got everything they needed as well as wormed and vaccinated on
a schedule), but I can tell they also had an Intellectual advantage that
a lot of people don’t go the extra mile to supply. We got Kodi home
and she understood “NO” and “HERE”. She’s fearless. We are
more than happy with her. Thank you putting forth the effort to produce
dogs like this.

What can I say... I bought Fracture (my chocolate male) from Tanya about
4 yrs. ago and I couldn't have asked for a better dog. Okay, maybe one
that's not too hyper (just kidding!). My husband and I recently got Genesis
(chocolate female) which is closing in on 1 yrs. old and she is just as
sweet as Fracture. People always make comments about how they can't believe
that I have not only one, but two Pits with my 6 yr.old daughter in the
house. I tell them gossip is just like tabloids..you can't always believe
what you hear and read! I love my dogs with all my heart. They are both
spoiled rotten and I wouldn't know what to do without them in my life.
Tanya has been nothing but helpful and always asking about the dogs, how
they are and etc. She is very proud of her calling in life as well she
should be. She is dedicated to giving a new meaning of Pits. I would recommend
her to anyone serious enough to wanting"a little chocolate in their life.".

Rarely do either Jeff or I read the message boards due to all the gossip,
criticism and lies that can be found on them. I think the last time
that I read a board was when you told us about the crap that Travis *****
and Jeff and I were supposedly writing against you! Some people just
like starting trouble and watching it escalate for the sake of amusement.
Anyway, you're absolutely correct in all you say, but I understand why
you don't just post it on the message board; that will only entice them
to continue their bantering and criticism of one of the few honest and
knowledgeable APBT breeders. Truth be known, there are a few
honest breeders and there are some truly knowledgeable breeders of the
APBT, but to find someone who is both honest and knowledgeable is a rarity.
Friends,
Laurie and Jeff
Thank you all for your kind words!!!
